July marks the end of our 2019-2020 Inaugural Season of Workshop 44 as an official 501(c)3 Non-Profit. This season has been one that will impact the art form of theatre for years to come. While established theaters begin to rectify decades of racial disparity and balance safety with performance, many have had to dim their lights for good. Workshop 44’s dedicated board of directors, artists and patrons have ensured that we will not dim, rather beam brighter as a beacon of evolution. We know that we do not only represent our physical community, but the community at large.
Workshop 44, through all our departments and programs during this pandemic, has been able to lead the way in community outreach and continue the educational and social impact that is theatre. Our commitment to diversity has led to one of the most diverse official non-profits in Los Banos, CA. The diversity of our members and community will be reflective in the stories we choose to tell, not only in our 2020-2021 season, but as an organization.
With all the challenges that are here and are sure to come, we have decided to emphasize our commitments in our season’s theme, productions, and morals. It is with great pride that we announce our 2020-2021 season theme:
“Theatre Without Bounds”
