Workshop44 presents the totally virtual Drunken Shakespeare Festival streaming on Saturday October 24th!
Join us for ye good old fashioned debauchery and entertainment as we witness correspondence unfold between Master William Shakespeare and Lord Oxford during a time of quarantine. Hoping to gain Lord Oxford’s endorsement of his two latest works “A Midsummer Night’s Zoom” and “Macbeth: a Scottish Mystery”, watch Shakespeare wine and dine and wheel and deal – with your help of course! Both plays have “drink at home” rules and you're invited to participate in several live events happening in between the two plays. So, get on your renn faire costume, grab your favorite tankard, and join us for what is sure to be a comedy of errors! Our tribute to the bard may have him turning over in his grave, but it will have you laughing off your couch.
